(“TP”) for a summer internship program where you’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience and learn essential skills in these fields while being surrounded in a breathtaking mountain environment.

About TP:

TP Association, Inc. is a unique mountain cabin development nestled on approximately 700 acres in the Bighorn Mountains, southwest of Sheridan, Wyoming. With twenty-six membership-owned cabins and accommodations for up to fifty horses, our community offers an unparalleled experience.

Internship Details:

Season Duration: June to September

 Duties Include:

• Supporting the TP Manager and Assistants with daily operations, including horse care and property maintenance
• Undertaking various ad hoc projects as assigned

Internship Credit:

• Internship credit is required for participation and must be arranged through the Agricultural Department or equivalent program at the applicant's respective college or university. Learning objectives and experience will be focused on an agricultural subject area with a product that will help TP.

 Learning Objectives:

• Gain hands-on experience in:
  • Horse management and care
  • Maintenance of common buildings, infrastructure, roads, fences, gates, and man-made reservoirs
  • Providing customer service and interacting with multiple owners
  • Rangeland management, including weed control and pasture maintenance
  • Acquiring guest ranch experience
  • Developing semi-skilled manual labor tasks and handyman skills

Perks:

• Housing provided, including utilities and Internet access

Additional Information:

• Stipend: $500/month, prorated for any partial-month.
• Meals: Applicants are responsible for their meal expenses.
• Transportation: Transportation expenses, such as fuel, must be covered by the applicant.

Requirements:

• No smoking or use of illegal drugs permitted
• Strict adherence to our zero-tolerance policy regarding underage drinking or drinking on the job
• Applicants must be able to pass a background check
